Tour Report - Akasaka-
Date:7/5/00 8:08:45 PM Author:Two Masks I believe this venue was in Akasaka or was it Asasaka? My lack of clarity on the name probably was the direct cause of my inability to find the venue. I did receive a lovely tour of the neighborhood by cab, though = ) I arrived at the venue a few songs before the encore break. It was a neat venue. It was about the size of the Akita show, but there was standing room only on the bottom and there might have been seats up on the second level, I couldn't really tell from my vantage point. The crowd was rockin' by the time I arrived and it looked and sounded like the show had gone well. For the accoustic encore Bret played 32 Stories and a cover of a U2 song- sorry I can't remember the title right now. *Note- I don't remember (hahaha, common, I know!) when they started playing it or what shows they played it at but they played a cover of an Oasis song that I can't remember the title of right now (I know I know...I should really look into Ginko suppliments). It sounds great and it makes the transistion from Brets accoustic set and Washington to Its too late a lot more flowing, if that makes any sense.
Date:7/23/00 Author:Rum As for AKASAKA was 2nd impression for me. Just like, DOGSTAR witched us at the night. It was special because it was taken by DOGSTAR in all directions only this night. So, it was really ROCK NIGHT! I was anxious about the show because it was a storm outside at noon, but when beginning, it brightened. My friend's d singing all songs of fake English, and me too. (Sorry, Bret!) - Set list AKASAKA-
1.ALARMING Two songs are very important to continue to "HALO". 2.SLIPPING DOWN I was already excited and was singing. 3.HALO "HALO" call was wonderful tonight, too. Bret and Keanu looked at each other and smiling. I think that the standing room suits DOGSTAR. 4.WOUND The lazy song matched up AKASAKA. 5.CORNERSTORE Bret jumps in the lightness when playing in the interlude of this song. It's my favorite his action. 6.ENEMIES There is the atmospheric night of the adult. 7.YOUR WORLD Indeed, "YOUR WORLD" is "DOGSTAR WORLD"! 8.SUPERSTAR A lot of calling , "You are SUPERSTAR". And the guy said "You Are handsome" to Bret. Bret said "What? You are guy ? WOW!" He was doing embarrassed laughter. 9.STAGGER Three melodies became the one. 10.HONESTY ANYWAY Keanu's Bass was affecting gently. 11.BREATHE TONIGHT It was repeated twice in singing letting-out. 12.GOODBYE Bret's throat wasn't good. He was doing some sprayer. 13.SWIM It's the song which arouses excitement again. 14.A DREAMTIME After that, the ad lib ad lib. 15.DENIAL Keanu was excited that he seemed to fall and he playing his bass. En1.32 STORIES (Bret's acoustics) Today's "32 STORIES" is lovely and slow tempo. En2.THE HISTORY LIGHT (Bret's acoustics) I was very surprised when I heard that. "This is my favorite song in OLV", Bret said. So, it's "THE HISTORY LIGHT"! This song is my friend's favorite. Therefore, I was glad that Bret was singing like the treasury. En3.BAD(Bret's acoustics)"U2" Bret sang his favorite song of U2. He was saying that he wanted to attempt to costar with Bono. It was introducing Bret with "Bono" when Rob returned. En4.WASINGTON The beginning was in a quiet mood, the last was forcefully. WOW! En5."OASIS" of song ... Sorry, I don't know. But it's sweet! En6.IT'S TOO LATE Keanu was singing it with Bret without the microphone. En5.BLOWN AWAY "Live in Tokyo" version was great! I became to love it! The ordinariness ends in this. However, DOGSTAR today seemed to be Puckish Boys. The first, Keanu began it. He picked up the stuffed animal of the dog which seemed to bump against him from the inside of a lot of towels and stuffed animals which were thrown to him. " Oh! Dangerous! " he said and he threw it to Bret. Bret caught it and " Baseball? " he said and he threw it to Rob, too. The relations are always good for them like the boy :) The second was Rob!! Suddenly, he took off T shirt. I couldn't hear but other people told me it, " Take off!!(T shirt) " he shouted. "Do you feel thirsty? This isn't coke." Bret said, so one of the fans said " Give me water, please!". Keanu passed the fan a water bottle. He is very kind. Then, many fans shouted " Give me water !" . Rob to have been behind threw some water bottles. WOW! Dangerous! After it, somehow he was throwing a dram stick. It was being splashed over being very far. The last boy was Bret! The one which was thrown from the fan attracted his attention. He picking up the sponge of the pear and hear about the towel, "What is this?" by seeing Japanese pop character (I shouted to Bret "Kitty", lol!) Then, he wipe a guitar with the sponge and the towel and he played a guitar!! WoW! Awesome guitar player!! WoW! However, Bret was shown the biggest puckish mind after all songs. He wore put on innocent look, and peeled off " Set list " which was his footing. He was on the broad grin when I noticed it and shout, "Please!!". His eyes was like a truly puckish boy's eyes. I heard the voice of his illusion, " Ha ha ha :-}". Then, he pasted "Set list" to the guitar and he played a guitar once. Keanu and Rob tried to return but was surprised at it. Keanu looked back to Bret, and Rob was getting off the dram set but he was anxious for Bret. Then, Bret tried to catch us using " Set list ". WoW! What fun! Following two reports are a winner and a unique fan. From Acchi ( Congratulations on the wining of " Set list"!! Yea! You did it! Thanks your posting my board!! ) I was very much excited at Akasaka's show. They were singing the encore's songs more than other place. I felt that DOGSTAR rejoiced terribly. I was in front of Bret when he came to the edge of the stage which pasted "Set list" to his guitar. I forgot myself and shouted to Bret, "Bu-re-tto! Bu-re-tto!" ( I can speak only by Japanese pronunciation.) Bret turned a guitar to the fan, so I jumped. But a guitar was lifted by him. Did Bret play with me? Is this fishing? Next, it is!!! The guitar came down to me, I jumped again!! It's my heirloom!!! Thank you, Bret! I noticed because seeing Bret almost, I noticed that he put on simple silver ring to the third finger of the right hand at Yokohama and Shibuya. From Rommy ( He was charmed by Bret. It's wonderful! Thanks your mail!! ) The reason why I got to like Bret is very simple, I like his voice. I was moved when I heard the true voice of Bret in Yokohama. It was more wonderful than thought of his voice! So, really GREAT!! In AKASAKA, I was not a too early order but could see at the 2nd line from the front of Bret. I became the fan of Bret because I met him in BSP of Yokohama, so being glad truly I jumped at Bre't guitar, though I'm a guy. The 2 days were which maximum day being in my life.
