Tour Report - Yokohama -
Date:7/5/00 7:21:01 PM Author:TwoMasks This club was standing room only and compared to the previous venues it was a bit small...although not too small, it was about the size of the venues they play here in the States. The band was having some technical problems throughout the show and weird things kept happening-screws randomly falling out, etc. but they kept playing and they were rocking hard. I don't think I've ever seen Bret move around so much while he was playing and Keanu was jumping around like crazy and Rob was playing his heart out on the drums! It was definately a high energy show which translated to a high energy crowd. The set list was the same again, but I think Bret played "Wish You Were Here" and "32 Stories" for his accoustic. OH GREAT NEWS!!!! They sold 150+ copies of "Happy Ending" at the Tower Record in one day the day of the Yokohama show!!

"What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere hide the well"(from my most favorite book,"The little prince" and this 29th June is the 100th birthday the great author,Antoine de Saint-Expury) This yokohama concert was a great heartthrob,and for me it was the well in the desert, Do you try "happy ending"? I like their 1980's rock sound.In Yokohama Bret's voice and guitar is very nice and Rob's work is great in spite of technical problem.And Keanu's base is very accurate,In my heart their "Alarming","Your world","Halo" ,"Superstar" sound.And I remember this evening Bret wore long black shirt and perhapas Rob wore white T-shirt and half pants,And Keanu wore his used black T-shirt and black jeans. My friends who saw the before night first night and I, were in 3rd row in front of Bret. 1st piece was "Alarming",this is one of my favorite songs in "happy ending".a powerful phrase "You are cat(god?) You're sweet You're everything to me" made me sing with Bret,It's very harmonious for me (only?)and I would try next adventure in 3rd piece, 2nd piece was "Slipping Town" and we feel good more. 3rd piece was "Halo"and I like this phrase "Hello - to my hollow one with a Halo".And I decided to shout "a Halo". So my friends would song with Bret,Bret's "Hello" and our "Hello","to hollow one with a Halo" and our "Halo", We felt with Bret and Keanu and Rob totally Dogstar then 7th was "Your world".It's a song getting rid of my stress of my usual work(related computer system). I like this introduction (I can always sing!)and this phrase "hold me the last now,show me (sorry unknown),kiss me (sorry unknown)". I shouted with love and my (stressed) life,But really My stress is out of me.I recomend,Please try it!! we will back to the report.In Tower record Shibuya Dogstar talkshow was held on the before day.We think Bret was worry about something.Because,he said in Interview. It was at 8 o'clock,but "I ate and I will go to bed".And Rob was surprised at his words,and asked "What?". We don't know the reason at all.But we were worry about him really. But his song and guitar were very great and fantastic, My friends were very great,too.As if their heart become strong like as iron,they supported them. 10th is "Honesty Anyway".Bret said "this is folk song" and my friend Motoko shouted "Honesty Anyway" and Bret said "Maybe" and began the piece. 12th is "Good-bye",This song is full of Bret's memory,and he said "Today is special day.The other man don't know this, I make this song when I missed,and I have very sorrow,"(Perhaps) and my friend said "I'm sorry" and Bret responded her "Thank you". It's very special. Keanu is not usual.He seemed to be very exciting and I saw such a behavior for the first time.He crossed himself and raise a cry. But he seemed like very happy. And the other friends could go to the back stage,3 men are very kidding in shooting.And we hope the success of the rest concerts. Thanks for reading!!
